Her or Hisstory of Gender Inequality
Gender bias lives in the words we speak
01
Project Introduction
Her or Hisstory of Gender Inequality reveals gender bias in everyday conversations. I visualized real discriminatory dialogues to help people recognize and challenge l
anguage-based inequality.

03
Layout Design
Each spread pairs illustrated characters with their dialogues. Typography and layout variations reflect different conversation contexts, keeping focus on the discriminatory language.

02
Visual Approach
I created diverse illustrated characters where each figure's style reflects the speaker's tone and attitude. The illustrations make bias visible through both visual and verbal language.

“Men can't wear skirts.”

“Women are too emotional to be leaders.”
01
Research & Concept
I collected real conversations that contain gender bias from workplaces to daily interactions. Each dialogue was analyzed and selected to represent common patterns of language-based discrimination.
